Anne Blackman is a new, upcoming writer from a small town in central Texas. She caught the writing bug as a young teen, and dreamed of becoming a professional writer. She wrote various pieces throughout her school years, and received a lot of encouragement from her teachers. As is often the case, day to day life took over, and her dream took a backseat. In her early 30s, Anne was diagnosed with kidney disease, which eventually put an end to her working outside the home. She became acquainted with another kidney patient who worked as an advocate for others suffering from the condition. Together, they formed a blog which focused on kidney disease related topics. Through this process, her partner learned of her passion for writing, and encouraged her to consider picking it back up. Since then, Anne has written a few short abstract pieces, and is currently working on a fiction horror story, Abode of the Damned, which is being released in installments.
